Jordanhill Parish Church

Tim Beattie joined us in January 2008 as Jordanhill Parish Church’s first full-time Youth and Children’s Co-ordinator. He has overall responsibility for developing Junior Church and the various groups run for young people in the community. In addition to this he shares in the chaplaincy work at Jordanhill School.

A native of Northern Ireland, Tim has a Bachelor of Theology degree from Queen’s University in Belfast, along with diplomas in Bible and the Church’s Mission and in Youth Work from Belfast Bible College.

In the relatively short time he has been with us, Tim has already proved himself to be hugely gifted in communicating his deep Christian faith with young people – and, indeed, with the not-so-young. He is a keen musician, no mean guitarist and used to play in a contemporary Christian music band in Northern Ireland. His wacky sense of humour ensures that he fits in well at the Church Office. He recently married Karen, who is also from Northern Ireland.
